Yes, wasn't it great? I saw it yesterday in 3D (having already seen it in 2D with every person in my social circle who wanted to go, LOL).
I agree with basically every one of your points (except the wand one, I thought the quick destruction of the Elder Wand after the discussion with Ron and Hermione set the right note).
I also loved that Lily in her conversation with Harry, said "Always". *sigh* And I liked the epilogue. I thought the "older" versions of Our Heroes looked fine and enjoyed seeing that. (Given a lot of the complaints I have seen aout that - I think this may be because they are still supposed to be younger then me, LOL, whereas the young fans seem to think adults in their 30s should have grey hair and wrinkles).

Oh, it's just that sentimental part of me speaking in regard to the Phoenix wand. Lol. I agree, it was perfectly timed and gave a final response/decision on the temptations voiced through Ron.
Geraldine Somerville was wonderful as Lily. Did you like the added Godric's Hollow scene, where Lily says "Harry, be safe...Be strong...."? That was really heart-gripping for me, as well.
I saw the movie in 2D. Gosh, it must be beautiful and intense in 3D!
I adored the movie also. The Prince's Tale was the highlight for me. I did spend the whole movie waiting for it, so I plan on seeing it for the second time this coming week.
Hi! I'm really sorry about my delayed reply. Livejournal has been stubbornly refusing me access until now.
Yes! Snape's death and the revelations in his memories were highly anticipated moments for me too, and they exceeded everything I could have wished for.
My apologies for the delay in my reply. I've been experiencing difficulties connecting to Livejournal.
Yes - the Malfoy family's exit across the bridge was priceless! Also, I think they successfully showed Narcissa's inititive in stepping into the 'voice of reason' role and carrying through important decisions to ensure the best for her family's welfare. Lucius suggesting to Voldemort about ceasing the battle, motivated (I feel) by his need to find/save his son. Then Voldemort mocking such a desperate and broken man; fabulously moment nonetheless: "How do you live with yourself, Lucius?" and Lucius replies: 'I . . . don't know."

"I also felt slightly sorry for Movie James, who was a bit sidelined, wasn't he?"
Yeah, and I'm sure it's not a fault in Adrian Rawlins's acting because I remember the superb ability from The Woman in Black (1989). Oh well.
I agree, I adored the Malfoy performances, as I mentioned to Inkwolf. :D
"The soundtrack is lovely, too. Epic and emotional."
Yes, every aspect of film-making worked marvelously together!
