I love Maksim Mrvica's rendition of Exodus: it's so inspiring and beautifully played. I bought his album and this piece of music is always on at some point when I'm doing artwork.
I have to say, I loathe most classical crossover, but I thought this was quite listenable. I like the tribally bit at the beginning and I wish they'd made more of that. Also, I find the orchestra a bit overpowering at times - he's a good pianist, though.
His rendition just struck a chord with me; I think his talent captured an essense of what empowers the original. I love the classic Ernest Gold's Exodus, it's incredibly inspirited and truly marvelous.
OMG!!! Thank you for posting this - I enjoyed it so much!
I used to play "Exodus" on the piano when I was a teenager. It's so dramatic and fun to play, and just about my favorite piano piece of all time. Love the video!
Fabulous idea! The piles of books and papers; his finger tracing the page and words materialising; leafing through the pages . . . I would appreciate it lots if you decided to share the icons. :D
Excellent! Were you part of a school music group, self-taught or have a private tutor? Can you still play, or are you a bit rusty due to lack of practice time?

Also, some screenshots from that video would make great "book" icons - I think I'll make some. ;)
