Heh, well as I said (and as Scott lovingly pointed out my amazing kindness in this respect), I didn't want to listen to the kid crying outside until someone found him. By that I mean it's loud and annoying.
I see your suggestion is to turn up the TV, but that wouldn't drown out some kid's screaming 4 feet away from me.
