I don't understand what all the complaining is about psykochyld August 12 2005, 15:31:14 UTC
Wow- you guys must be exagerating or your DM's must have just sucked... because I am an FSM in Canada, have never been treated better at any other job, my boss doesn't harrass me, my office TELLS us to take days off so we don't "burn out", and as far as the comment about CUTCO not being "as good a product" as other knives.... it is FOREVER GUARANTEED. My bro bought some at a garage sale before I even started selling CUTCO, and he still got the forever guarantee even though he paid two dollars for a chef and a carver.

I also feel that the pay is pretty fair every time my 50% cheques roll in. The only way I would make more money than I do now is if I were done school and in a profession. I do have advice for those bitter reps who put in two weeks and complain about getting paid 10%- you didn't do any work, that's why you didn't get paid. (I forgot to mention I got free lunch with my training.)

Hey I recently hit my first promotion. Its like learning to walk. You start off crawling, then standing, then learning to walk and then running. CUTCO is like that. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity. My DM is actually very nice and not pushy at all. She lets us work at our own pace. But the Fast Start is where it's all at!! I don't feel pressured at all. I hit my 1st promotion (I think the first out off my group) selling over $1K in items. I really like it too because I get to meet people and end up being late for my next appointment lolz. Over-all if you don't have the mind-set to be successful you will never be. I want to hit FSM and "Make Half Baby".....Plus I live in NYC so I will never run out off appointments! It took me a Homemaker+8, and a few pieces of knives to push me into my promotion. This business does actually help you out. Its always good to develop a good relationship with the DM because doing so can help you in the future. You may never know. My main goal is to become FSM. It is achievable. Anyways, CUTCO does ( ... )

Vector is the best job for students. "if you can cut it" anonymous April 7 2009, 07:27:29 UTC
Little bit about my experience with vector...sold 6k won a trip to cancun at an all inclusive resort. All the booze I could drink free food almost all day. Oh yea and I can say ive ran over 20 interviews and interviewed 200 people...so unless you know of any better opprotunity i think you should just stop lying and realize you just didnt have what it takes.

Your right. I really don't have what it takes. I've sold two knives out of my four presentations. I went to useless training. The only important parts were when they taught us the payment shit and basically memorizing a script...the rest from the 15 hours of useless training was to wire stupid shit into our brains...having the DM tell us how great the company is and how we'll sell 95% of the time....but for me on my second day its 50%. It's kind of disapointing when you can't sell and this is because people are so damn cheap. Sure they are amazed by the knives but they don't believe that their knives are crap. And we're presenting to people that don't cook are so obstinate on the fact that they don't cook and don't need good specialty knives...then just for being asian, the people still think that the prices of the knives are really high even if you tell them that there are other crappy ones out there for 3k ( ... )

Its because you didnt even go to advanced training to learn how to deal with objections i was trained back in june and i basically only worked hard for push periods and did aboujt 40 demos for bboth sc2 and sc3 and i sold 8000. you just have to work at it you can just give up when the adversity gets bad.

Managers, Jamaica anonymous November 19 2009, 15:10:03 UTC
To all the Neg. Threads... your manager sucked.... my manager never once bully me or "forced" me to sell. i get a call about once a week from them and i get asked a few questions on how im doing. i get a reminder call about team meetings and paycheck meetings on wed. and sunday. other than that everything is really relaxed. granted there are some managers out there who really are hated. those managers fail at life and really dont need to be in this business. they think that just because they have an office means they can treat People like dirt. I think i have a great manager, they are always willing to help me in every way possible and every now and 90% of the time they pretty much leave me alone.

January trip this year is to Jamaica. I'm going.
6 PR = half price + 4k in sales = free
Can't Wait!!!

Oh..btw im also a vector asst. manager.
And i just got back from the Factory tour.

I can see where both sides are coming from. I had a terrible DM in my town about 4 years ago; while I was making huge paychecks, she practically forced me to quit because she was a Nazi about everything and stalked me by calling me a thousand times a day. Then, if my day wasn't filled with demos or I didn't make a sale, I was drilled about it. There was no excuses for not being 15 min early for everything or not being able to make a meeting. So I quit. Some DM's like that exist because Vector can't oversee every little detail that's going on in every office (the bad ones are usually new and don't last long) because these Assistant Managers were cut loose to open their own office in a new town where there's no one else from Vector to oversee the managerial style occurring in the office. But those bad DMs (who are the few bad apples giving this amazing company a bad reputation) dig their own grave because reps quit left and right and they end up having to close their office. Exactly the case in my town; that chick didn't last ( ... )

I made FSM in a few months and did the work, made sales, all that jazz. It really is true that you have to put everything into it, but for what you do you get A LOT back ( ... )
