It's a good day!
I got back this morning at 6:30 from visiting my parents in Las Vegas, and promptly went to bed and zonked out for most of the day. Tonight we're going to Upstairs on the Square for Thanksgiving dinner, where I will not in fact have turkey, and ethicsgradient is working on the almost-done bookshelves in the next room, and I planted about half ( Read more... ) -

Monday morning
Today a lot of the world doesn't have to work but I do, and it's raining, and my jeans got soaked on the way in, and the buses are on holiday schedule so I was late.
However, I still keep emergency pants at work, and I have a donut(!), and that makes everything all better.
Behold the power of donut. -

There is experimental chorizo and sweet potato soup smelling awesome on my stove, sourdough bread from Iggy's, and raspberries (from my backyard) and French rosemary honey for dessert. ethicsgradient is out, so it's all for me!
I believe that it is going to be a good food night. -

Back home
I'm back from France, and it was awesome. I particularly loved Paris; I felt like I wanted to move there. There was much eating of tasty food and doing of fun things; the sister-in-law's wedding was very nice; there was a friendly chateau cat named Nutella and some similarly friendly displaced Irishmen keeping a B&B; I sat in cafes and remembered ( Read more... )
