He is, and is not... since Marvel made some serious changes to the Norse character, and Wagner only used some specific aspects (mainly Loki as god of fire), they have next to nothing in common - apart from being the trickster, which is sort of the essence of Loki/Loge :-D

Sorry for not replying so long, but I was trying to get hold of a complete rendition of Hines' Wotan, but no luck so far (amazon has some on offer, but the sellers don't ship, alas), so... have some Philipp and Grand Inquisitor (with Siepi as Philipp) instead (for now!)
