The adrenaline is still pumping

I had a few plans this evening where it basically ended with me driving home...like home home. The one that isn't my college home. Now...I knew I would have to drive back late because plans tend to take a long time when dinner consists of 25 people. Anyway, let me get on with my story ( Read more... )

*Enjoys hug* My parents aren't here to give me one :(

Those cameras would totally see that truck...man. I felt like I was re-enacting Steven Spielberg's first big movie "Duel"

My vision is fine at night if things are lit up. Darkened roads simply aren't cool. Trucks aren't either!

Oh, I have a bad habit of running "dark orange" lights -- most drivers here are horrible though, so I come off seeming much calmer on the road.

I have no idea about the ticketing system over there, but I think you should just concentrate on the fact that you only did it because it was the safest thing to do -- trust your instincts.

I've never run a red light before so obviously it was two things that upset me...

Almost being smashed by a semi and having to run the red light.

But I'm glad that I am still in tact

If what happened to you, happened to me you better believe I'd run the red light!

I'm glad you weren't hurt, and I hope your nerves have calmed down by now. *hugs*

I think you did what you had to do, I really do.

I slept so much that I'm better now. Haha

I think anbody in my situation would have done the same thing...or they wouldn't be in good shape today.

I think they should ban semis because I was almost crushed by two awhile back. I was in between two and they didn't see me. One had their blinker on and started coming into my lane. I had SLAM on my brakes. Good thing there was nobody behind me.

Um, me. I'm blind as a bat at night...Okay, I'm blind as a bat all the time, but night time is the worst. All the bright lights make it very hard to see.

I think you could definitely get out of that ticket or at least get it reduced to something minor. I definitely think you made the right choice.

As long as something is lit up even a little bit then I'm ok. I feel as if my car lights are not bright enough.

I'm just hoping that there was no camera...First time I ran a red light and it will most likely be the last.

I should buy you huge bug eyed glasses with lens that extend out half a foot with attachable night vision goggles, defogging thinga-ma-jig, 10x zoom and optional racing strips.

Then you wouldn't have that problem.

I had no problem SEEING the truck Dave! It was HUGE, his horn was BLARING, and his lights were making me blind!

It's an roads that have no lighting that make me nervous.

I felt like I was in some scary movie like Joy Ride or Duel. It was generally just not the place I wanted to be in...especially at midnight.
