I ordered two books a LONG while ago from them and loved them. And even their prints were relatively good when I first started printing through them a couple years ago.
But this batch... there are some in there where you can only really see the persons face if you hold the picture AWAY from you. I'm really not into the whole mosaic for my 4x6's though :-\
Ugh...sorry you had such a crappy experience. It must be something up with the app.
I normally have amazing experience with Shutterfly customer service. They've refunded my money before for invitations I ordered that were humongous and I'd have to pay extra shipping to send out simply because I didn't notice and no where online did it warn me about it. I also have 3 $50 photo travel mugs as the first one had a glitch in the corner and the second one the lid cracked so I got a 3rd one.
Isn't TinyPrints pretty much the same company as they're all linked together at the top of the website?
Anyways...sorry you had a crappy experience. What a pain!!!
I'm hoping it was the app - and that maybe they were a little overwhelmed what with offering free prints. I only had to pay for shipping which came to $82 which is pretty awesome for almost 900 prints.
I checked the reviews after this whole mess and it looks like at some point around mid last year (2015) the reviews went from pretty good with just a mix of small issues to now where they have 1.5 stars :-\
I had never heard of Tiny Prints before (and never even noticed them at the top of the shutterfly page) but the girl I work with said that its not actually Shutterfly or Tiny Prints printing the pictures, and that she does it all through her phone. She orders then picks up her prints at... Walgreens? Or maybe Walmart...? I cant remember which but the prints arent actually shipped to her; they're done somewhere around here and she can pick them up. I think I'll probably be sticking to Costco after this though. Unless I get an amazing deal, between shipping and printing costs it usually comes out to be just the same as Costco anyway.

Their books and gifts have always been awesome for me, though... Along with larger prints. I just stopped doing regular prints from them.
