That does seem to be the case. He's been bitching about Slayers: Dragon's Cycle for months, if not years now.
The thing is, the writing success isn't even mine. I'm promoting my friend's success in something I helped edit - you know, correct spelling, typos, grammar errors, help tighten up a story... but tis still not MY work, it's not MY story, I only helped polish something already decent. Even the current source of pride on the site is just the most recent edition of the books - apparently even the older version sold very well, and the ones with my contribution are less than half of the total sales of the book, Aff's Diary.
I fully intend to do better cover art for the next edition of the book too!
He has left comments on my public posts every now and then. That is why I screen all comments by persons on them that are not listed as a friend of mine. Though myself being a male he has not actually stalked me per say. Sorry to hear that he has been stalking you. Have you reported his actions to LJ ? If not maybe you should ?
I can understand why you would want to do this. However, there are people like me who have friended your journal who very much enjoy what you post, whom you have not friended back, so from now on, we're effectively banned, too. Would you please friend me back so I can continue to read your stuff? I've never caused you any trouble and I never would.
Thank you for the add and your kind compliment. I don't post about politics, myself, but I am kind of a history nut (as you probably noticed), and I try and write about a variety of other subjects, too, so I think you'll enjoy my occasional postings. :)
Mmmmm... history. There are days when I wish I could study more and more of it, it's just so fascinating. I loved it in school (except for rote memorization, which I am horrible at) and one of my fondest childhood memories was my father's long row of Will and Ariel Durant's History of Civilization, which was one of his prized collections, slowly built up over the years of saving for each volume. When a leatherbound collector's edition came out, he pounced on it (we were in Paris) and he said I could have his old set. Sadly the old set got mostly eaten by termites (leading to us discovering that they chew through cement!) though I still have a few of those precious volumes. I'll reobtain the missing tomes someday (I found a volume in a second hand shop but it isn't one of the ones that got destroyed, so I have hope
( ... )
Could you add me as a friend? I've been frequenting your livejournal for a while now, although I have to admit that I'm mostly a lurker by nature. ^_^;
