Hey Peeps,

Will someone help me download my LJ and render such files readable?

Then, I will close the account. And start a really-for-real personal journal.

Not planning to keep your LJ account for reading other people's posts and keeping in touch with people?

No one reads or writes on this anymore. It's not an effective way to keep in touch if people don't don't update on how they are doing or read how I'm doing. Mostly, no one gives a shit about my journal anyway.
I figure if anyone really wants to know how I'm doing, they can contact me through the other media I've got going on online. And the same for me keeping in contact with them. Facebook, Twitter and good ol' fashioned video chat seems to be more active and effective.
I'll keep it though. I just remembered that some of the Collective Aeorn Project still happens on here.

...really?

I didn't think anyone read it, much less would MISS it.

Unfortunately, XJournal is a MacOS X livejournal client.

I think ljArchive probably looks like a good windows program.

Backing up your LJ: a guide for Windows users contains more information which may or may not be useful.
