Health news wise, nothing to report, though the dog went to the vet for his bad legs and is okay now.

though this means now I have to wait even longer for the next one... )

maybe it's because I have several other ships for mac instead but I saw the tone at the end as them continuing to only be friends but I think they maybe might've gone out in the past, like when AJ was the CMC age and Applebloom wasn't born but not in the future. NOPE

I'm fine either way. In fact, I think that really was the perfect way to end it - shippers can see it as actual dating, and non-ships can say they were continuing to be friends. Everypony wins!

Yeeeeah. Love poison, mentions of "fall of a kingdom, dragons, chaos reigns", alicorn in the book illustration. I'm not the only one who saw that and went "eeee, Discord origin storyyyy~ ♥"

Likewise, Ponibooru bronies have already christened "mattress in a hole" as "the sex pit" and made it memetic.

Me, I'm left wondering what the hell this episode IS. I'm used to the CMC getting more air time, they are the "target demographic", but you've got five seconds of Twilight and literally NOTHING of the rest of the Mane 6! Which is especially odd since two of the CMCs are /related/! You would've expected to at least SEE Applejack or Rarity.

But nope, it's apparently the Cutie Mark Crusaders Hilarious Matchmaker Show.

Now that you mention Discord, why in the world would they turn this into a happy holiday? That's an odd way to celebrate forced love and doomed kingdoms.

Yeah, the lack of AJ and Rarity made me sadface... in-between all of my laughing.

A day meant to honor recently departed became an excuse for candy. A day praising the miraculous resurrection of a dead man... also became an excuse for candy. Valentine's Day itself was named after the day Saint Valentine was buried after being martyred. And is now an excuse for candy. And "shmoopie woopie pumpkin pie".

What I'm saying is, Princess Celestia has turned all holidays into crass commercialized candydays.
