So yummy!! Brown sugar on the strawberries? Hm. I wonder.. I usually just use regular sugar. That chicken curry looks delicious!

There is a slight carmelness about brown sugar, I dont usually use white sugar unless it is castor sugar - I have found a brown castor sugar yet.

I usually eat my mangoes with salt. But I havent tried strawberries with brown sugar. The combination sounds yummy. :)

Mango with salt, I have never tried that. I have sprinkled salt onto fresh pineapple pieces. In England is it traditional to sprinkle castor sugar (very fine white sugar) over the strawberries and drizzle thick pouring cream. The strawberries and cream are part of high tea very popular in Henley when I was growning up (usually eaten around 3pm - humm maybe that is why I need something to eat around then too). With High tea you usually get a round of finger sandwiches (sandwiches that are no bigger than 2 fingers together with crusts off, one each of the following egg mayo with cress on white, cucumber on white, smoked salmon on brown), scone with clotted cream and jam (usually strawberry, blackcurrant or apricot), strawberries & cream and pot of early grey tea (or English Breakfast if you really have too).
