In a poof of obviously magical smoke, emerged the armored figure of Ramza. Despite not expecting a fight, he had learned to come prepared and his two ninja swords rested, one to a hip. He looked around, trying to find Arche. Needless to say, he was excited to fly and was a bit...hyper about it.
Seeing the cloud of smoke come from nowhere, Arche decided that was probably him. What else could have been the cause? She blinked curiously when she saw that he had come with armor and two swords... Not even Cless wore that much armor, and it's not like they had an over-active monster problem. She gave a slight shrug and decided to have some fun with him. She turned herself upside down on her broom and appeared in front of him. "Boo!" she said, a playful tone in her voice. It was just like when she was playing around with Master Klarth.
Not sensing Arche approach him from behind, Ramza continued his search. With his nervous energy, he was the perfect target for this kind of thing. As soon as she spoke, Ramza rolled forward and spun quickly, preparing to counter attack anything that had snuch up behind him. However, when he saw the pink hair, he recongized the person. "Oh, Miss Arche. You startled me."
He stood up again and removed his hands from his hilts. Goddess he was embarresed, he was as red as a fully adult chocobo. But, the embarrasment was forgotten for awe as he saw her upside down....flying. His eye expanded in shock. "You really...can fly?"
She gave a slight giggle when she saw just how nervous and embarrassed he was. Going right-side up on her broom, she fixed her hair as she remained floating. As he stopped blushing she gave a wide grin and said happily, "Yup! What did I tell you! I wouldn't lie about something like this!" She then held onto her broom as she stood up on it and moved more towards the front to give him some room to climb on. With a small smirk she asked him, "So what? You going to try or what?"
((Sorry for the short-ness. I have to go for the night. Bye~))
Ramza swung his legs off the broom, rather like how he got off Boco, his chocobo. While he thought about the irony of that, he also thought of how Boco hadn't had a real good ride since....since before they left Ivalice. It was the last time they both had been together, and the feeling Ramza had then was similar to the feeling he had today, down to even the little emo spurge he had.
While Ramza and Arche were off in their thoughts, something stirred, just out of sight. It lurked, waiting for the right moment to strike. But, lifting it's nose to the air, it could tell the time was getting close.

((Okay then.))
Arche remained in her broom as she went a few feet higher above him once he got off, the height that she was used to being at after years of broom-riding. She circled around him for a few moments, getting a little bit higher with each lap. Eventually she noticed that there was something there, probably just a monster, she guessed. Nonetheless, she reviewed a few spells in her mind, making sure that she remembered all the incantations after a few days of break. She then went down at about his level and scanned the area, wondering what it was. If it was something that wasn't much of a bother, she could easily wipe it out with a spell or two, no need to bother Ramza with it.

((OOC: Mind if I RP the monster?))
The Ramza saw the girl rise again and guessed something was up. A quick listen of the surroundings gave Ramza a chill. There were no animal sounds at all. Ramza knew this from his own journeys; it was a sign of a monster attack. Ramza kept his cool, knowing that luring the monster in would be a more purdent idea than searching for it.
The beast began to stir. One meal left the other, perhaps sensing it, but it cared little about that. It could smell the blood it was about to spill. It rose, and began to slowly began to slink forward, it's bulk sliding along the ground.

((Nope. Go ahead.))
Arche's pointed ears twitched a little bit as she could hear a very slight disturbance in the area. During the war she had learned to detect even the slightest movement from far away, as was her job since she had better senses than humans did. She was tempted to light up the sky as she had done before, a warning to any of the nearby towns or hamlets to let them know that they should get in the homes. However this time she decided agaisnt it, thinking that it would most likely scare away the monster, which would be very bad as it would most likely go to one of the cities as a meal.
She continued to look around and checked for any changes of shifts in the area. If the monster could cast spells, as some of them could, there could be a possibility of one of them getting seriously injured. She had to react before they could make a move.
