In Costa Rica we went on a boat through a river through Palo Verde national park, with some guides. There were animals, including a funny-looking bird.

I saw some primates on Ometepe! The monkey said "ook" at us. Those other ones also said some stuff.

bh & polpo, and I went to Point Reyes today to count and look at pinnipeds. We saw a bunch, and some other stuff.

I didn't quite bring enough water, but since getting back I've drank over a gallon of water, and I'm pretty sure I didn't bring a gallon too little. So I'm not sure what's up with that.

The International Orange

1.5 oz London dry gin
.5 oz King's Ginger
.5 oz Grand Marnier

Shake with ice, strain, and serve in a cocktail glass.

Ginger Pear Thing:
¾ oz white rum
¾ oz dark rum
½ oz pear brandy
½ oz King's Ginger ginger liqueur
1½ oz seltzer water

Stir and serve with ice.
