(no subject)
I got sent home sick from work today, so I've been sitting at home with nothing to do (though you can probably see from these pictures that I could have been cleaning my room...). I'm feeling better now, so I fixed the skirt a bit and tried everything on again for my Mercury costume. I like how it's turning out.
I will probably redo the hiproll, since I've found what looks like a better way to do it. Or, I'll try it at least. The stuff I need is cheap, and I'm not crazy about how mine turned out.
I also need to probably redo the skirt since it ended up a wee bit short in the back. And while it's supposed to be pretty short, it ended up too much so, and I was stupid and trimmed the excess, so rehemming is out.
Better view of the boots! They're not perfect but I love them! I'll be wearing them outside of this costume once it cools off.
So obviously it's not done. I still need to make the sleeve things, buy the gloves and sew the things onto them, maybe add the stripes to the boots, and make the thing for the front bow. Oh, and maybe redo the hiproll.
Hopefully my friends will be able to get theirs done. It still feels ridiculously early for this, but considering I seem to be the only one who can sew (and not even that great)... well.
