met the most darling little miniature horse yesterday. Doug came with us this time to take the dogs on a play date. they had fun.
then i looked over to the neighbor's yard and two tall guys were messing with their little paint horse and he was biting and nipping them. so Doug and i walked over to the fence when the guys went inside. i called to the horse. he trotted then stopped. did my little horse noise and he bolted over to us. first he nipped me on the arm, but i treated him like the horse that he was. blew in his nose as a greeting (learned that from John Lyons). he totally respected me then. let him nuzzle my hand while i stroked his neck. Doug learned a lot. he was a little quick at times so the horse spooked a little, but he settled down easily. i pulled some fresh grass for him to munch on since the field was covered with hay weeds taller than him! lol. then we had to go. it was getting late and the fire flys were dancing around. we walked along the fenceline and back to the car. the miniature pranced, bucked, and galloped around. sooo cute. i hope to see him again wednesday.
i should be meeting with the vet either tomorrow or the day after. i'll only be with her for a few day anyways. she got called away on an emergency or something before i came.
Went swimming with Doug and Greg. the water was nice. it's an above ground pool, so there's not much to do in it. took a loooong bikeride up and down and around the hills. so...much...peddling!!! saw a few deer in the fields. does. they were beautiful leaping in the tall grass so close. i beat the boys home. slow and steady wins the race. they were so tired and hot and they kept complaining. lol i strained my back like crazy and was i fussing? noooo! lol.
watched this movie called Darkness. weird. the girl from Fly Away Home and X-Men (played Rogue) was in it. then some foreign movie in english subtitles about a boy who finds a kid in a whole and brings hime food everyday. he couldn't just tell someone could he. another weird movie.
nana and i watched Phantom yesterday. my nana had seen the first play on it during a field trip when she was in school, but it had a much different plot.
i learned that the original play had something to do with two friends, one a playwright the other the businessman, and the one guy lights the playwright on fire and he becomes the phantom. the other guy then has to write the end of the unfinished play that they started. the girl was his assistant and he falls in love with her. but she has a boyfriend. then the phantom kidnaps her and makes her sing his songs over and over until they're perfect, then he lets her go back. but instead of being intranced by him she's terrified. the phantom returns with the finished play and the rest goes down after that and yada yada. interesting. i think i like that version too.
anyways, the computer is all messed up so i'll get off now. toodles!
