ok, so yesterday i wasn't able to get connected on the internet so i typed the entry up in word...
Got punched in the nose for the first time in my life today. No joke.
After shopping in Ohio, came home, relaxed, then set up a play date for the puppies again. The other people just got a new puppy for their dog so naturally we wanted our puppies to meet it. Well it was a shy little thing so after a while I went over and visited my little pony friend. Usual greeting, he seemed to remember me. Little bit of running along the fence and I gave him some fresh grass. Then the owner’s 16yr old son (excuse me, 16 and a HALF) came out. First the pony spooked when he heard the kid coming. Then he charged up to him, reared, nipped, kicked, and ran back to me. The kid messed with him a bit; clapping his hands, holding the pony’s head down, grabbing tall grass to use as whips. After a while I was given permission to go inside the pasture. At first the little horse was ok, but then, after scaring the boy he tried to scare me too. I, however, am not so easily intimidated. I treated him like the little horse he is and he seemed fine. Then all of a sudden he rears up on me, higher than he had the kid. Ah! You little snot! He held onto me with his front legs and tried to nip. I got him down and he leaped right back up, this time striking out. He clipped my nose with one of his hooves then backed off. Yea, way to go miss horse girl. So I gave him his space. Then the rain started coming over the valley so I got out. He became an angel again (What a little brat!). But I commended the kid for putting up with him. I made peace with the pony and headed back to the car. The pony raced along the fence line crying out to me. I felt bad leaving him. He kept galloping around and nickering to me. Then finally he trotted off to his stall as the rain began to fall. I know if I had the time to work with him, I could help break him of some of his bad habits. We shall see…
Tomorrow is the day of the fair/auction. I wonder what adventure lies in store for me there.
today's...
went to the auction around noon. some goooood lookin horses there. we didn't bid, but it gives me a better idea on what to look for in horses that go to auction. this one old, skinny pony went down to $15! and this little boy bid on her. after he got her, he went and asked his grandma if it was ok. she gave him a hug and that was the end of that. soooo sweet. they saved the poor little mare.
that's pretty much it then. i'll update when more stuff goes on. toodles:)
