'I could sit in this spot all day...'
I've made friends with a squirrel in our garden and have called him Gerry. Now, it was pretty cute to start with, I'd knock on the window and he'd come bounding over and sit on the bench while I chuck monkey nuts for him. I remember in Battery Park, NYC, I joked that I would attract some squirrels over by pretending I had some food. Except that as soon as I put out my hand of pretend food, five or six squirrels all came bounding over like little maniacs and followed me when I stood up and moved away...
