Fiona took a long bath. A sinfully long bath. A sinfully long bath after an absolutely necessary shower.

It was wonderful. She felt human again, and her hair smelled like jasmine and honey.

Griff had managed to make his way upstairs at some point after realizing he'd had a message. He leaned into the doorway, not sure about entering when people were potentially half-dressed. "I take it you dropped by?"

She looked up tiredly before figuring out who it was and giving him a soft, but genuine smile. Relief flooded her features before she pushed the laptop closed and hopped off the bed.

"I did," she said, reaching out to touch his arm, make sure he was there.

"I wanted to make sure you were all right. I didn't see you out there, so I didn't know."

She'd seen most of the other people she'd gotten to be friends with so far.

"I think not being out there was how I managed all right," he replied, wondering how many people were not all right. "You weren't hurt, were you?"

She shook her head and tucked back a wet curl.

"I didn't see you and I was out there," and she rolled her eyes mildly "and in the sewers chasing them, but it's a big island."

She nudged his arm.

"And you have your coffee thing."
