There was Fight Club to go to of course, and homework to do, and research to work on, and something she wanted to check so she could use it on Eliot, but there was also the mythology text. Having found his own room rather occupied, Griff decided to take his coffee up another flight to visit with Fiona. He heard the bang and stuck his head in the doorway, "Should I come back at a better time, then?"

She turned almost too sharply, her hair whipping around behind her as she peered at him almost as if she didn't know who he was. She came back to herself, back to her senses, in less than a second before shaking her head roughly and patting the bed with a shaky hand.

"N-no. No, nothing."

The swallow was obvious but she couldn't help it.

"Come on in. Seems like it's been a while."

"You okay?" He made his way over quickly, concerned about the strange look. "Has it been that long?"

She shook her head and put on a smile, steadying herself behind it. She wondered why she could feel this, the horror and the emotional scar from where she'd murdered another being (Family, a nasty, unhelpful little voice whispered), but she couldn't feel happy unless she tugged it up out of herself.

The smile turned a little more genuine and mixed with relief as Griff came closer.

"Not that long. Just nice to see you."

Her hand went out searching for his. She was already feeling; it's be nice if it was something good.
