`Prologue- Illusions and Memories
I stood on the sidewalk, on the edge of the gater. All cars were halted. I looked up. The stoplight was lit in red light. It signals the people to cross the street, I don’t why, but I just stood there. Swaying my hands.
Swiftly, the siren of the ambulance echoed along the hushed highway. I glance on my left, inside the ambulance I saw a glimpse of a lady, sitting on the passenger seat. There was anxious written on her face. She was in panicked. She was crying. I suddenly remembered myself.
The exact day of last year.

The wind chime dinged. I shifted my stare at the door, I saw Kobayashi Mika, my best friend, looking around. I waved at her as I gave her a half smile.
She walked in the aisle and sat in front of me.
She smiled sadly; I flashed a wide grin and greeted her, “hey! How are you, it’s been a while.”
She was my best friend, since high school. We treated each other like sisters. She knows my entire secret, which my parents don’t. She was also the first person whom I’ve told about ‘us’.
“Yeah... it’s been a while… so how are you?” she asked and repeated my sentence. Her voice sounded very concerned.
“I’m... good...” I said. I smiled uneasy at her, as I pull the paper inside my bag, which I printed earlier. “You?”
“I’m fine.... I’ll be straightforward. I’m worried about you. I don’t know if you have coped up wi---” I hastily cut her sentence by slamming the papers in front of her. She smirked and asked, “What is this?”
“It’s for you to find out.”
“Stories again?” she rolled her eyes, and picked up the paper.
A half smile formed on my lips.
