Fandom: House MD
Pairing: James Wilson/Amber Volakis
Theme set: Alpha
Rating: R
Warning[s]: Spoilers for recent episodes of S4, as well as some speculation about what might occur in tonight’s episode (Wilson’s Heart).
Comfort
Wilson walks through the front door, rubbing at his temples in a failed attempt at warding off an oncoming headache, and Amber smiles and kisses his cheek in greeting.
Kiss
Lips caress hers, soft and imploring, and Amber sighs into Wilson’s kiss.
Soft
Her skin is soft as Wilson pushes her back onto the bed.
Pain
With House, everything comes back to pain (his own, and the pain he causes), but Amber provides a reprieve from that, despite House’s insistence of their similarities.
Potatoes
Amber jumps him as he is preparing potatoes for dinner, and peels spill onto the floor.
Rain
The wet chill of rain provides a nice contrast to the warmth of their fingertips.
Chocolate
Wilson loves chocolate, Amber hates it; this fact provides endless amusement for House, who always insists that this alone proves Wilson the so totally the woman in that relationship.
Happiness
Something was always lost to Amber when, time and time again, she chose respect over love: happiness, but she was starting to think that she’d found that with Wilson.
Telephone
‘So…’ he says to Amber, shooting a wink at House as he does, ‘What are you wearing?’
Ears
Amber kisses the soft patch of skin behind his ear, and the feeling is simply euphoric.
Name
She always called him ‘Wilson’, never ‘James’, but he did not find that the least bit odd.
Sensual
Sweat, heat, touch, Amber’s laughter, skin on skin, mouth on mouth: Wilson’s senses were in overdrive.
Death
Her death hit him harder than he ever could have imagined, the cold body in his arms a constant reminder of all he would never have again.
Sex
Fingers slid over his lips, silently telling him to just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Touch
It’s so very cliché, but his fingertips set her soul on fire, Amber thinks.
Weakness
She’d never cared for soft, caring brown eyes, but that’s her weakness now.
Tears
The tears came, slowly but surely, when Wilson learned that Amber had also been in that bus accident.
Speed
It kind of surprised her how quickly she had fallen for him.
Wind
Wilson loved it when they were outside together, just because he loved the way the wind blew through Amber’s hair.
Freedom
It was exhilarating, really, being with James Wilson; Amber had never--not once--felt this free to give her heart away.
Life
The way he pushed her down, the way he roughly kissed her, the way he ripped her shirt open: it all made her feel so alive.
Jealousy
House knew Wilson better than Amber did, had been through so much more with him than she had, and at times she couldn’t help but to be a little jealous.
Hands
Wilson loved the way Amber’s hands felt as they slid down his body.
Taste
Amber loved it when Wilson cooked for her, as his meals were better than anything she had ever tasted.
Devotion
It had only been a month, but that one month was enough to make Amber turn down House’s fellowship offer.
Forever
Wilson hoped (as he often had in the past) that this time he’d do things right, that this time, that ring would remain on Amber’s finger.
Blood
She’d lost so much blood, and she was coming in and out of consciousness, but she could still feel Wilson’s presence (and House’s) when he was in the hospital room with her.
Sickness
Wilson was rather surprised to wake up late that morning, only to realise Amber had called them both in sick, but her warm body laying next to his made him realise he really didn’t mind.
Melody
Amber loved it when Wilson sang in the shower.
Star
Their first anniversary was spent up on the roof of the hospital where they met, drinking wine and gazing up at the starless sky.
Home
He couldn’t quite think of Amber’s apartment as ‘home’ yet, but it definitely felt more like it than the hotel room ever did.
Confusion
Wilson didn’t quite understand why Amber got so angry about him buying the mattress she wanted.
Fear
‘You are so ridiculous sometimes,’ Amber said to Wilson as she killed the ‘big, nasty, horrible’ spider in their kitchen.
Lightning/Thunder
The lightning crashed, and the thunder roared, but they paid it no mind as they lay in bed, Wilson’s hand in Amber’s hair.
Bonds
‘Tight enough?’ Amber whispered, grinning when Wilson nodded in response.
Market
Wilson rather liked living with someone who would actually do the grocery shopping every so often.
Technology
Amber laughed and rolled her eyes as Wilson attempted to figure out her digital camera.
Gift
Amber was horrible at buying birthday presents (gifts of any kind, really), but Wilson always appreciated the thought behind the gift cards she always ended up purchasing for him.
Smile
She hates how sometimes, his smile doesn’t quite reach his eyes.
Innocence
She opened his mind to all sorts of things he never considered before (all of them in bed, really).
Completion
They didn’t necessarily ‘complete’ one another, but they sure as hell didn’t mind missing any of the aspects they lacked, in fact, Amber especially found it more fun this way.
Clouds
Amber found it so endearing that Wilson still looked for shapes in the clouds.
Sky
The sky was clear and blue, yet Amber and Wilson were both at work, bemoaning the fact that they were missing out on such a nice day.
Heaven
The final mattress they decided on felt absolutely divine.
Hell
It was absolute hell, seeing her pale skin tainted by dark purple bruises and multiple lacerations.
Sun
Wilson loves the way the sun shines off Amber’s soft, blonde hair.
Moon
‘Wilson, could you please tell House that, as much as I just love looking at his ass, that I don’t really appreciate him mooning me?’
Waves
Waves of pleasure ran through them both as they broke in their new mattress.
Hair
Amber loves it when Wilson runs his hands through her hair.
Supernova
It’s more amusing than intimidating (to Wilson, anyway) the way Amber can frighten, brow-beat, and, well, intimidate, any maître d' at any restaurant into seating them whenever, and wherever, she pleased.
