[For the public part of this entry, the camera is obscured.]

I caused much pain and distress during the experiment. To all of those who were attacked, I sincerely apologize. I could barely control myself. In addition, I... I believe I took two lives... those of "Cirno" and "Ian Kolansky." ...Should you decide that punishment is necessary, I will ( Read more... )

... What did you do to Cirno? [Her voice was low, dangerous. She would not tolerate any harm happening to her unless it was unavoidable.]

She was drunk with power because of the experiment. ...So was I. Cirno could not control hers, though, and sections of the village were being suddenly covered in snow and ice.

...I wanted a fight, first and foremost, but I also knew that the blizzards had to be stopped.

... So you took her life rather than wait for assistance?

There were others. Her life was in danger, regardless of who landed the final blow. [Which... well, it was him. :|a]

If she had been allowed to live in that state until the end of the experiment, I believe the entire village would have been frozen solid.

That may be true, but you said you killed her because you were drunk with power. Does this mean you deliberately sought out a fight with the intent to kill, rather than to defend your own life? [Not that Cirno was justified either, if Tear were able she would be talking to her about this as well...]

...No. I sought out a fight with the intent to prove my dominance. I had fought Cirno once before, and noted that she was able to recover from even my fiercest attacks. I assumed the same this time, but... I believe the power had changed her. She did not recover.

... So you've met her before... How different did she seem this time? [Cirno wouldn't do this without a trigger of sorts, something is telling her that much.]

Much more confident, even arrogant. She had created a castle from pure ice near the western lake; it was a trap intended to weed out the weak so she could only fight the truly strong. I believe she would not have cared if someone died in there.

[That did not sound like the Cirno she knew. What did the experiment do to her?] Do you know how many others attempted to fight her?

I was vaguely aware of two, maybe three others. I can't say for sure. I... don't quite remember much else aside from the fight.

I see...

While your attempts to apologize are noble, it'll take more than written word to redeem yourself for what you've done to those you involved. [She'll wait to pass judgment for when Cirno returns.]

I understand. Whatever is deemed necessary...

Don't expect forgiveness immediately, what you did was of your own free will. You'll have to live with the consequences of that and figure out what to do yourself. [And with that, she closes the journal. She'll be waiting for Cirno, whenever she returns.]
