[For the public part of this entry, the camera is obscured.]

I caused much pain and distress during the experiment. To all of those who were attacked, I sincerely apologize. I could barely control myself. In addition, I... I believe I took two lives... those of "Cirno" and "Ian Kolansky." ...Should you decide that punishment is necessary, I will ( Read more... )

[coughcough]

There's no reason to say sorry-I mean, it was a close call, sure, but I get hurt all the time, y'know! And I'm fine, so there's no need to apologize for something that was messing with your head...

[Kriz just nods; thankfully, he won't need to get the pears out of that fruit bowl that Ian miiiight be able to see in the kitchen...]

[He goes to take another gulp, then stops, looking confused.] Did you need shots for something? Perhaps some kind of... of tree disease vaccine? [fuckin' trees, how do they work]

[He sombers up at that--he didn't even realize where that comparison had come from, and now that he recalls his 'shots', he feels a passing feeling of discomfort. But it's quickly traded out with a small smile.]

Nah, no tree diseases! We're not really able to get anything like that! But I've gotten shots before, because my folks weren't too sure if I could or not. Tree people seem pretty close physically to people, after all. We've got most of the things other people do.

Hm, interesting. What are the differences between "tree people" and regular humans? [Still just sipping at his drink and listening intently.]

Ah... well... Not many...

[Truthfully? It was an equally sore topic. He wasn't used to speaking of it. Not for the last 130 years or so... There are quite a number of differences Ian isn't willing to list, so he thinks about the ones he can without feeling awkward about.]

I don't feel any cold or heat when I'm outside. Weather doesn't really effect me like that. I also don't have a belly button, since I wasn't born in a womb or anything... and-ah! I get more exhausted during the winter because it's typically when trees are supposed to lose their leaves in the winter.

Little things like that!

[Also being immortal, healing his wounds, not having reproductive anything, being unable to eat or drink other things...]

[...Hold that thought, Ian. Kriz has just realized something somewhat silly. He's a clone, so he was born in a tank... and he's never thought about his belly button before. Cue some navel-gazing.]

[Huh. He's got one. That cloning equipment must have been really good. :|a]

[Okay, back on topic.]

...That does make sense. May I ask a favor? [Kriz puts his hand out, palm-up.] Give me your hand for a moment. [...no, he doesn't have his clawed gloves on, so he's not going to try to make you bleed or anything. He just wants to see what you feel like. |D;]

[blink, blink.

He puts his arm out, curious; he hasn't quite figured out why Kriz even wants him to. But no reason to decline the request. Krizalid will find the same feeling of most other hands-soft around tough knuckles and a steady heartbeat at a wrist no doubt in a sea of veins.]

[Well, he feels like a human. Kriz is slightly disappointed at that; he was expecting a more bark- or plant-like feel to him. You can have your hand back now, Ian.]

Thank you. ...One moment, please; I have to find the labels. [He'll finish his drink before getting up, tossing the empty bottle into a garbage can while he passes it.]

Yessir!! [Salute!]

...

What's that stuff you drink?

[Didn't look like tea... :|a]

[He pauses.]

It's a sports drink, meant to restore fluids and essential nutrients after exercise. You can try one if you'd like; there are more in the fridge.

[Now he's off to find the labels.]

[He just smiles at that.]

Nah, water's always suited me best, I think.

[Aha. Being a tree. And all that. :|;;]

[In a few minutes, Kriz returns with some small slips of paper; one of them seems to be already wrapped around a half-empty bottle of Kolansky's Cure-All. Or so the label says.]

Here. I couldn't find adhesive paper, so you'll have to attach them yourself somehow. [They're really very detailed, despite being handwritten; everything from the faux-chemical name to the dosage instructions is on there. It should satisfy most clinics and hopefully most clients as well.]

[And his smile widens at this, as he inspects them.]

No, these are great! Thanks a bunch, Kriz! You didn't have to do this, so I'm real grateful to you for being such a nice fella.

Your Cure-All has helped me greatly throughout the past few weeks. [He taps the half-empty bottle against the table to punctuate that.] I felt it needed a little something more.

[That, and he still feels terrible about what happened during the experiment. Ian might be able to catch a slight depressed frown from him.]

[Oh, he catches it alright. And frowns a little.]

Oi, don't worry about it, okay...? What you did during that whole mess wasn't in your control, y'know?
