That's how it was for me -- I was pretty sad, suppressing tears when I heard, and my coworkers know I'm a big R.E.M. fan and some just tried to poke fun. Idjits.

What kind of assholes do you work with o_O Who sits around laughing at somebody when their favorite band breaks up?

I was an angry upset mess when I lost mine, and if somebody prodded me about it I probably would have strangled them. Of course that was an ugly breakup due to rampant asshollery, but oi... I guess people just suck.

I miss LJ from time to time. In some ways it seems more personal than the Facebook experience.
