The Sims 3: Let the sadism begin

I preordered my copy of The Sims 3 today.  Now next Tuesday, all I have to do is survive press day and a city council meeting, and then I can pick it up and be on my merry way.

As with the first two games, my first act will be to buy a grill, set it in my Sims' living room, have them start a cookout (cook-in?), and watch in glee as the poor bastards

The grill sounds pretty exciting, in all honesty...

It's a riot--the grill catches fire every time if it's placed in a house, and if the Sims don't have a stove, they automatically decide to grill something. I'd say there's been a fatality in the first five minutes of starting a new family 90% of the times I've tried it.

It's a great way to start off Celebrity Survivor matches, too, because a couple of the celebs off themselves almost immediately.
