[Someone was knocking. On Fran's door.
Admittedly the boy wasn't sleeping (or easily annoyed), so it wasn't much of a problem, but it was an unearthly hour of night, so---]

Semppaiii~ [Fran took one last moment to savour the lack of Royal company before rolling out of his hammock and walking soundlessly to unlock the door.]

If you killed your roomate and want me to help hide the body, you're on your own. I don't want to be your conspirator in something like that. [The boy poked his head through the door, lacking all signs of irritation and (for once), his hat.]

Otherwise, feel free to come in before one of the staff catches you.

Oh, look, you have a cranium~

Don't be stupid, I didn't kill anyone, it was him, he was being creepy. But if I do ever need to hide a body, I'll come to you first. ♥

[He slips past Fran and into the room as quickly as possible, because this school being what it is, not only the staff but also half the student body could be up and about and up to no good.]

Why are you awake?

Hmn? Oh, of course I do. [Fran shut the door, watching his hammock restore itself to its proper position as the tension returned.] So, [the boy clicked the lock on before turning to his crazy sempai] it's just your roomate being creepy, then? That's awfully boring. I was actually kind'a hoping for something gory and thrilling. Oh, well. Gee, thanks. I'm honoured. [the hat-less space-frog dropped into his hammock, curling into a ball in preparation for what would, without a doubt, be a long story.] Are you going to get on with the complaining, or should I roll over and go to sleep?

[Why was he awake? Well, the actual answer was kind'a boring: he'd been out running, then climbing around, running through some routines, balancing practice, random flexibility work--basically exercise. He did it every night, followed by a nice, long shower & some reading. As of the prince's arrival, Fran'd been sitting down to read.
Performance or no, the boy wasn't about to let his physical condition slip.]
I'm nocturnal. What's your story?

[As eager as Bel is to tell his own story, Fran looks surprisingly weird with no hat on.] So even though you can't beat it in a staring contest, you get nights off? Or is it that the hat gets tired of riding around on your head all the time?
I'm sorry you find it boring, shall I go back out and kill someone for you? Then we can bury them in the baseball diamond and blame Yamamoto. I can even come knocking on your door dramatically with blood all over my hands, if you like~

That's right, you're a frog, you would be nocturnal... I have a weird roommate who thinks it's OK to sneak up when I'm asleep and poke at my face just because he heard people talking about my eyes. I should have known he was no good as soon as he said he was friends with Mukuro- [and in the same breath even though it doesn't quite follow logically] -no one at this school has any respect for royalty at all.
