In essence, you're right. It's too small a game for there to be big payouts, and the mindset that more divisions make sense -- or that somehow it's fair for lower divisions to get a handicap and equal prize money for equal entry fees -- is wrong. Wrong, BECAUSE of that handicap part. You don't play the best players in the room, you shouldn't feel entitled to as much of a reward as they do

I agree. Too many people are willing to accept the impossibility of big money tournaments without trying anything themselves. It's hard not to be frustrated.
