Alrite, kids...

I saw Cirque du Soleil's «Corteo» in San Francisco tonight, and it was absolutely amah-zing. Having not been very impressed with «Varekai» two years ago, I was glad to be enthralled with one of these productions once again. Chris Kong. I love you. I love you A LOT! What you said about Brokeback... I just... I'm SO glad to read about someone I love actually feeling the same way (aside from Jessie White, o'course). It's refreshing to read how someone else describes those feelings.

The movie DOES stick with you. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't shook it. I don't see it going any place soon. And even though it's definitely an intense feeling of melancholy that seems to take over, it's... comforting, yes? It is for me anyway.

The second viewing will definitely be more personal and enjoyable - I've heard that that's the case for most people. The first time, a lot of things are going through your (general "your") head. I didn't catch the majority of the love scene the first time through, I was too busy getting lockjaw from shock. Oh, and the Ennis' lines are easier to understand the second time around as well. It becomes more apparent how Ennis is meant to speak like that, and it's not just Heath having bad enunciation.
