Yeah, I thought I should actually put something on this lj instead of looking at a blank screen everytime I open it. :)

Oh, and I like it when people tell me they get funny looks while they're laughing at my stories. That's a great compliment!

Oh, wow, so much amazing Harry and Ginny fanfic! I'll have to get started reading some of this soon. You should definitely share your fanfic with the members and post it at sunlit_daily when you get the chance. ;)

Well, we'll see. ;p

I thought you were only hosting art, though, so that thought never actually crossed my mind. LOL.

Yeahhh, at first it was just going to be me posting a picture/banner of Harry and Ginny every day, but then I decided that it was too boring and lonely with just me posting. LOL So I decided to make the comm for anything H/G related (along with my almost-daily photo posts).

Hi asher. I'm not really sure how to respond to your question. I think if you want to write a story - whether a one-shot or a multi-chapter, the first thing to do is to actually come up with a basic plot and go from there. I think you'll find it easier if you write about things that you like to read. It'll probably be harder to write a multi-chapter one because you need to keep the momentum going and the ideas fresh so the reader doesn't get impatient and just skip to the end or give up altogether. Don't rush things (most of my work, even the one-shots, take about 4-6 months and tons of rewrites before I post them) just because you want someone to comment on your work already, and make sure you've got almost all your chapters finished or near completion before you start posting because it sucks to read a fic then finding out that it has been abandoned. Lastly, find a good beta/editor because nothing turns off a reader more than spelling and grammatical errors. Hope that helps!
