They crammed so much into such a small amount of space that I've had to watch it several times just to make sure that I didn't miss anything--not that I minded. At All.
The Harry and Voldemort interactions all creeped me out--I mean seriously. The whole face-holding thing is just *shivers* and I love that Harry responds to him--and oh! the whole eye-closing thing before Voldemort casts his curse--ack!!! (I wonder if they'll treating us to a 'blazing kiss' there when his eyes are closed?) Oh, I don't know. The whole thing was just epic.
There seemed to be a large amount of footage from the second film, so it will be really interesting to see what they give us when they release a trailer that is just for Part 1. I just can't believe all the treats they gave us -- the snake (which I think is attacking Harry in his bedroom at his parent's house, not at Bathilda's house), the room of requirement, the Forest Again, the final showdown--I mean REALLY. Wow. I guess that's all I can say. WOW. *G*
I wanted to see Grindelwald and the young Albus. Will they actually depict their epic, doomed love? :) And I can't remember, but did they ever mention they were casting Ariana?
Ooh, and I hope they show Molly AK'ing Bellatrix and shouting "Not my daughter, you bitch". That would be the bomb. LOL.
Please let them show that Harry's last thought was of Ginny; a montage of her growing up all the way to their last kiss would be awesome. Please, please, please!
So many things to look forward to. I really can't wait.
Hopefully they will give us enough of H/G in the first film to have something to build a montage of. I'm will be so hacked off if they skip the BDay kiss.
I believe I've seen an interview where Julie Walters talks about getting to off Bellatrix. They would be crazy not to include that scene - it is epic. Of course, trying to figure out the why's and why not's of the other films could provide several of us with full time jobs!
Oh God, the Silver Lining Kiss. I very much want that in there, but I'm not holding my breath for it either. I have a feeling Steve Kloves will manage to turn it around and make it a bonding moment for H/Hr instead. :(
Rupert seems to have really good scenes, doesn't he? That locket scene was great. I'm glad they gave him some more things to do instead of just being the comic relief.
HBP showed up on HBO last week so I have watched it several times again and am still shaking my head at some of his choices. For me, The Three Broomsticks scene was the worst. The managed to butcher three story lines in one go.
1) They have Harry sucking up to Slughorn when we all know Harry wants nothing to do with him and his Slug Club.
2) Harry is so busy sucking up to Slughorn he doesn't really seem to notice Ginny and Dean snogging so let's just skip right over the whole chest monster thing.
3) They make it seem like Ron is appalled that Hermione might be interested in him when we all know good and well that he knows he is interested in her at this point.
It just made me angry and disappointed all over again.
Even that scene in the library where Harry says to Hermione - "But I am the Chosen One" - it's funny, but it is so off because Harry really hates that label and he doesn't want to have anything to do with the entire fame thing.
It is really going to happen! Dear Oatmeal and I have gone to the midnight shows in costume in the past. It may depend on what sort of weather we have in late November. I don't fancy standing in the rain with a droopy witch hat.
That must be fun. The Hogwartians here where I live have shown up in robes in the past, but aside from them, no one has really done the full costume thing. If I had a Quidditch jersey, I would wear it, but sadly, I don't know where to get one. D'you suppose they sell it in the HP ride in Universal Studios in Florida? I must get there somehow!
