i rather liked how jack responded to ennis at the beginning of this chapter. ennis really had it coming despite the fact that he'd changed his mind. jack lived with so much disappointment for so long.

i also liked when ennis finally spoke to jack. he didn't say much, but what he said was good.

now i'd like to see jack's full response to ennis' new attitude.

Enjoying this story. Ditto what grlewis said, but I also like how Jack's mom knows just when to speak up and when to hold her peace.

Feel the chills down my spine from the confrontation so well written and the way his Ma stood up and gave a few words which helped bring the voice to Ennis and than the strength I felt in Ennis and his words to Jack. The overwhelming emotion felt in the acceptance of this offer. All so emotional and rewarding to be apart of. Thank you. Joe
