Made a bad start to the week

When I turned onto the highway this morning, all seemed rosy. The traffic was light, I got up to speed in the merge lane without having to brake or accelerate to fit in, the lane was nice and clear and the sun was shining. Things went well...for about a kilometre. Then I felt a smack, and jolted toward the ditch. Pulled back into the lane,

I have a doctor appointment booked (my boss advised me do so just in case I develop a problem later).

I don't think she was on the phone (unless she dropped it)...but if she had done a shoulder check she'd have seen me right beside her.
