She's Gone Now
I knew the first part of June would be great with the vacation and everything that entailed. I also knew that the end of June would be hard for me. She's left for 10 months on active duty somewhere in CA and then she might go to Kuwait for another 10 months. She left yesterday. First stop was Williamsburg, VA....awesome...next day was Mt. Vernon and for me, that was humbling and beyond words to convey when 5 feet from Washington's tomb. For the last two days the kid and I went to Washington DC.
