I see that BofA got another chunk of money from taxpayers today. A few weeks ago, I completed an online application for a mortgage refinance. I was pre-approved and told that I would be contacted within 36 hours by a mortgage specialist. BoA has the most terrible customer service ever. They took over MBNA, a company where I had several 2-year and 5-year CDs... and once BoA took over they stopped sending statements and when rolling them over rolled one of them into my parents account because...um..er.. they were listed as beneficiaries or something. It never did make sense and it's very, very rare that you can get a live human being on the phone.

I've heard horror stories about BofA but this is the first time I've experienced it. Their slogan should be "We suck but we're too big to care!"
