goodness, an actual livejournal post. but dont get excited, its not very interesting, i wanted to get some thoughts out of my head, but they will likely be far too emo, mawkish, irrelevant, and lengthy to be of any real interest to anyone else. So! i have created a handy cut tag thing

I am not sure what to say, but I wanted to say something - we miss you and would love to see you back for the end of Maelstrom as whatever! I'm not sure what your opinions are on being prayed for, but I certainly sincerely hope you get better, or at lest a diagnosis and some actual help with this horrible illness stuff that's been eating you, soon...

my opinion would be that it was very kind and caring, and id be touched. :) thank you. I hope i get a diagnosis too! i find myself in the rather bizzare position of hoping it is something like ulcerative collitis, rather than some of the alternatives :)

ill try to make event 4 even if i have to gen an undead to take advantage of the pallour and lurching :)

You are missed my friend, very much so in fact. I'd also like to ask if you would object to me including you in my prayers and wish you good luck for the trip to the Hoppytal.

i wouldnt object and would think that it was equally touching (if slightly less cute, but you cant do anything about that) as chess offering :)

I hear Unliving Gnolls are easy on the downtime brain or zombie husks are easier on the uptime one too :). Though it's not exactly complex socio-political intrigue based roleplay.

Regardless dude, hope you get better soon and it'd be good to see you and your uberfrau at some point.

i think zombie husk, definately,

we got stopped at maelstrom the last time i was there and pointed at and people got told that we used to play starcrafts, in much the same way someone might go into a museam and point out the inoffensive things that were the precursors to the modern horrors we know now :) i thought it was kinda cool to know you and rim are clearly famous :)

Hope the hospital trip goes well (at least, as well as hospital trips can be expected to go). For what it's worth, I miss you and your good lady friend, and I hope the health stuff gets sorted so we can catch up and play something together at some point. But don't be getting all stressed about what you "should" have done with regards to 'strom, or any other system - if anyone actually did think badly of you for being too ill to show up (and I very much doubt anyone did), then those people are douchenozzles who do not deserve to be thought of or spoken of ( ... )

dont worry about the larp thing! real life is more important (and more interesting, you are going to have a child! do you know what class your going to try and get it to be? or will you let it do one of those things you get in modern rpgs like fallout where you watch it closely and base its class on the things it shows an interest in early on?)

would be ace to meet up

I'm hoping he'll be in the Geek/Hacker class, since that's the one I know how to level up the most quickly and well. I'm under the impression that parents only get a limited amount of say in the class selection process, though. If he rebels and turns out to be a Sports Jock, or a Meow Meow Junkie (WTF even IS Meow Meow anyway?), or (this being Surrey) some kind of Socialite with a special skill in Equestrianism, I'll just have to figure out how to make the best of it.
