That Lane Bryant size system fascinates me. There's a website I ran across a bit ago (and ahve since forgotten where) that takes measurements, assigns a letter for shape type, and then recommends clothes. It sounds like a somewhat similar concept.
(I don't think I've been in LB since the #s redesign - I remember them going up to a 24 or 26 a few years back when I was buying bridal stuff for someone.)
Am trying to remember you in high school - I don't remember your shape being unusual, but then again I am comparing impressions against the people I spend time around nowadays, and I had a very confused body image at the time as well.
They go up to 28 in the stores, and 32 or so online. The trouble with the 28's is that it's usually the first size to sell out in a design, where you can almost always find an 18... :P
I appreciate your input about HS, it is good to know that I wasn't as bad as my brain was telling me. Though, this all goes to my theory that the ones that seemed like they had it all together, simply were better at faking it than we were.
for example, a classmate who shall remain nameless was one of the irritating 5.0 people from Kindergarten through Sr. year. She was the perfect book learner, and I felt deeply that she felt superior to those of us who struggled with our grades.
Someone else was tutoring her in Calc, and was *sworn* to secrecy.
I think my hatred of her would have been lessened had I known that she had flaws in her academic armor.
It's really the only way to keep my sanity. The idea of "lose 120lbs" as a goal is just too overwhelming. I actually have a series of short term goals, and adjust them accordingly.
If I went to meetings somewhere I would feel like I am not living up to my goals or something crazy like that, this way, I feel I am being realistic.

Watch out for the weight gain after the breastfeeding is done. It sneaks up on you.

You can do it - and I like that you break it down into short-term and long-term goals.
