I know this is an odd query, but in my attempt to expand my mind and knowledge about the world, I was wondering if anyone has any idea of what kind of music mundane 30-somethings listen to nowdays. Hmm mundane 30 somethings ehh? Well speaking as one of those 30 somthings. I like a lot of 80's nuwave and alternative. Well then you have the older goth and ebm. Which isn't so bad just gets monotonus after a whileNOt really much for our age bracket out there. What people consider popular these days pretty much sucks really bad. Are you looking for recommendations?

Well, I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Mark - I mean speak as a mundane 30 something. You see, you have something that sets you apart from those people...good taste. In music, in clothing, in other forms of entertainment. No, you absolutely cannot be classified in the category of "mundane". I'm talking about Abercrombie Zombies, men with tans and lime green or light pinks polos and cell phones permanently welded to their heads. You are not like those people...but you already know that, I HOPE!

In that case i would have to say that bands like AFI, Hawthorne Heights, Christina Agulara, Maybe Madonna. The billboard charts are depressing. http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/charts/chart_display.jsp?g=Singles&f=The+Billboard+Hot+100 This is what is popular these days? Yuck!

Wow - the only two I recognized on there were Johnny Cash (a good thing) and Dashboard Confessional (a very, very BAD thing).

Yeah, come to think of it, I doubt I have many friends who actually *would* know what's popular now - not that I would judge them unfairly if they did. I would only try to save their eternal souls with better sounds! ;-)
