After two different I-POD nanos, which I foolishly spent my money on, I cannot get the fucking thing to work, and neither can Todd. He has spent several hours trying to get the goddamn thing to operate, but it won't won't won't!! I HATE APPLE!! I HATE I-PODS! I can't even take the thing back - Target (bastards) only offer to exchange. GODDAMN ( Read more... )

If they'll let you "exchange for store credit," you might try one of the Creative Labs ones. Particularly if you're using a PC instead of a MAC, they usually are far less fussy.

we had a zen but then creative either quit making it or the stores around here quit selling it

Stores are kind of iffy about carrying it. Ironically, Apple likes to act like Microsoft is some evil, exclusionary monstrisity, but they're just as bad in the MP3 player market with 60% of market share. Zen's got less than 15%.

Shame, they're nice, well designed little players. I got mine at Circuit City, and then they don't have any peripherals, so I'll have to get a car charger on line...

What's the issue? I have an IPod, and IShuffle, and A Nano and all three of mine work.
