Woo hoo!!! I'm done with a major part of my vet school applications. Last night I turned in my general application which means that I have applied to three schools so far, and I have until friday to finish my final supplemental application for Cornell. If you'd asked me I would definitely have told you not to miss an apple festival in New York! It is the definition of Fall.

You don't have to go to an apple festival. You just have to find apple cider donuts and eat them.

Hey, so question for the future-vet (and given your two summer's at my uncle's place), what would you recommend to use on a adult cat to get rid of fleas? A cat found us, and it's somewhat underweight and has a fair amount of fleas (so I'm thinking it's abandoned/stray, but leaning toward abandoned given how people friendly it is). So yay kittah! But boo fleas...

Hurm, well obviously I'm not allowed to give that kind of advice being I have no training, so I have to say go talk to your vet. However I can tell you what your uncle uses. He first uses capstar to get rid of fleas when they're really bad but you have to give it every day at least. That's usually what he uses as the initial treatment to get rid of the majority of the fleas, then he uses revolution which is the once monthly topical treatment. That one works, but it's not as strong as the capstar so it doesn't kill the fleas as fast, which is why it's only maintenance.
