She's not stupid, she's just dumb

It's Monday.  I'm working on this thing at work that is almost done now.  The meat of the program is done, and I'm just adding on the dressing to make it a little easier to plug it in and go.  Its its a pretty cool little security system that makes sure people aren't editing their memory while the program is running, to prevent hacking.  Its neat ( Read more... )

When you go straight from "Stupid girls!" to "I've got most of my observatory designed out" it seems clear that you're going to become a supervillain any day now. The next time I read those words I bet they'll refer to your "orbital observatory."

I've always had a dream of building an orbital observatory, or at least a high altitude observatory high enough up that the sky is black. :)

ALSO!

Any dolt with half a brain
Can see that humankind has gone insane
To the point where I don't know if I'll upset the status quo
If I throw poison in the watermain

Listen close to everybody's heart
And hear that breaking sound
Hopes and dreams are shattering apart
And crashing to the ground

I cannot believe my eyes
How the world's filled with filth and lies
But it's plain to see evil inside of me
Is on the rise

Wow, sounds badass about the observatory! Have fun with it!

I ran 1.7 miles yesterday at 7 mph for a mile and 8 mph for the rest. The pool was closed and I figured it would be a good opportunity to see the Olympics, so I ran in the generic boring lame automatic workout room... :P

I'm definitely way more in shape than I used to be, but I've got a ways to go, I was a bit tipsy after the run, if I'd finished the 2 miles....I would have been glad I didn't eat. ;P

According to some recent study I read, sprinting as fast as you can for 60 seconds, and then resting for 60-seconds, then sprinting again, etc, burns 3 times as much fat as just running slowly for the whole time. I was kind of trying that when I went running and let me just say... IT TIRES ME THE FUCK OUT. :P

The fastest I've been able to run a mile is 6 minutes, which is about 10mph, but I slowed down and the next mile took 8.

Running for 60 seconds as hard as possible would be rough, resting for 60 seconds doesn't seem like enough time!

6 minute mile is good! I ran 5:45 or so once in gradeschool, but I don't know how realistic it was as there were hills, it really felt like a quick mile and I know I wasn't that fast back then. I'd love to try it again nowadays, I think I could do it. :)

My car will go 60 mph so in one minute it will go 1 mile. So in 60minutes it will go 60 miles. I think I'll just stick to driving, screw running. And I can eat and do my make-up while I'm at it.
