i do have a flickr, I just dont have any pictures on it. :)

There are a bunch of websites that you can sell your pictures to. I'm not sure if I'll really do that or not though, some of them make you pay a flat fee per month/year to sell stuff through them and I don't want to do that.

Why didn't you just get close enough to the spider to not have to use the zoom...or were you too scared?

zoom wasn't the problem, the autofocus was. All of the close up pictures came out blurry.

How did you get that bird to sit still? How did you get such a close-up of the bird?

It was a bird that they use for outreach & a show at the SF Zoo, so it was on a perch & tied down. I got the closeup by using my 100-300mm zoom lens, its the standard lens I take with me to the zoo because everything is at least 10-20 feet away.
