Death is a funny thing. It happens all the time in movies, TV shows, etc. We see it all the time on the 10 o'clock news. We brush it off as something that, though biologically inevitable, will never happen to us. We think about our futures and we worry about where we'll be in five years, never thinking that five years from now we might be six feet
