you know I knew a few of my friends were on myspace, so I went to check it out... is there anyone who is not on myspace? Honestly, I have been boycotting it for as long as since it became popular and now it is almost like I should join it... whats so great about it anyway ( Read more... )

Myspace is retarded, truthfully. The cool thing about it is that you can stay in contact with people a little more easily; I have friends on there I never actually see in person anymore, yet have been able to interact with anyway. Some of them I haven't seen since I was about 10. But the downside is that it's overrun with people who try to "Friend" as many people as possible (nobody really "knows" 2500 people), 16 year old kids who think I or any other adult would actually talk to them (or that it's a good idea to talk to a much older stranger on the internet), and of course the people who put video and music in their profiles, which not only is an unwelcome interference with my iTunes experience, but also crashes my damn browser. Oh, and the increasingly popular trend of high schoolers posting pictures of their teacher/principal and saying he/she is gay. That's pretty fucking annoying.

Yeah but on the other hand I did see quite a few people on there that don't have a live journal, however I do believe that Myspace is rampant with high schoolers and those with the mental attitude of a 15 year old, not all but most. I guess my curiosities lie with the fact that I would like to see what some of my friends are up to and lots of them have that whole friends only option...

But on the other hand it is not easy by all means to look at it on a dial up modem honestly it took me about 15 to 20 minutes just to see one profile, mostly because of the pictures of movie titles and such so I do not foresee me giving into it in the near future.
