I have discovered that I am afraid of spiders. I don't know when this happened. I mean I was never quite fond of spiders, but I wasn't afraid of them. We live out in the country so we get them in the summer, and every time I see one within five feet of me I have a panic attack. Why... maybe it was living in Toronto, because we didn't get very many ( Read more... )

fuck my life

Rural spiders are pretty crazy. House spiders in the GTA have got nothing on rural spiders lol. Wolf spiders, dock spiders, the ones that hang out outside from the underside of our eavestroughs at the cottage... they're all so bizarre.

I usually just leave them be. I don't like killing large things.

They really are. Right now all I've found are those translucent-looking ones that you find everywhere... except they're quite a bit bigger than the ones I would see downtown. I'm nervous of how I will react to what I find in the garden.

I really try to as well, I don't like it either. I only try and get rid of the ones in my room because I've woken up a few times to one dangling a few feet from my head D:

I have two courses to do that start in May and end in June. So I have a bit of a break between then. After those though I think I'm done.

Can of hairspray and a lighter 8Db

But really I would frantically grab something and keep hitting the spider. I remember once a huge black spider crawled up my wall I crumpled a piece of printer paper and I SMASHED it. It was gross there was a huge black smear on my wall. Agh.

s:DLGjs;lgjs XD That's actually how I got rid of a nest of them once. I swear. You'll get to see my place when you visit. It's all of the fucking trees and plants and tiny swamp near the back of the yard and just. It's a perfect insect environment /s-sob

UGH yeah, I usually crumple up paper or tissue and do it, but even THAT wigs me out. I had to do it the other day because it was crawling near my bed and I involuntarily screamed and woke my mother up OTL|||

gahhh yeah my backyard is perfect for all sorts of disgusting bugs and crap since we have a deck and it's cool shady, and wet. It's all swamp-like and gross. D8 We have mud wasps too apparently OTL last time we were putting bricks away from taking the cover off of the pool I noticed as we put them under the deck I found a whole bunch of nests D8

KAJS I still don't know HOW thy get up to my room since I'm on the top floor. HOW DO I NOT NOTICE THESE THINGS? Those sneaky crawly fuckers D<

I don't have problems with tiny spiders but average size spiders and huge spiders FREAK. ME. OUT. But not as much as snails...

Yeah, same here DD: Tiny ones I can deal with but anything bigger scares me.

We don't get very many snails around here unless it's a really, really rainy spring season so I'm not sure if I'm scared of them. |D; do you get a lot of snails where you live?

Not exactly, but sometimes, when it rains too much, they appear. One was waiting for me under my bedroom's doorstep. D: I, as any normal girl at 4am in the morning did the only plausible thing at that situation. Took a deep breath and screamed "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!". ¦D~
