may i ask what websites you used to find these cheaper books? ive browsed half.com, amazon, etc. but couldnt seem to find my anatomy book any cheaper. /cry $197 used. /cry
I go to froogle.com (the shopping search engine for google).
It will pull up everybody they know of that sells it, with their prices. The vendors give descriptions of the used books just to let you know the condition and such.
Of all of the classes I've taken, Anatomy was definitely the most OUCH! I found, though, that I only wound up actually using like 2 of the required 5 books. You might considering starting with the actual text and lab manual, and waiting on things like histologies and atlases until you've gotten the syllabus to see whether or not it is actually used in the class. Generally, those references are used only as personal study aids, and most of that information can be gathered online instead.
For example, if you're looking at bone marrow cells, you can do a google image search
