First day back at work and I am wiped out. I'm crossing my fingers that this cold does not linger!

Happy New Year
Today should have been back to work, and I even had some really great lessons planned for my science classes. However, sickness struck! I woke up feeling awful and with a temp of 101.3 I didn't even get out of bed. Just emailed in some lessons and called the sub service. Get Well Soon, Baby!
Today started out rough.. Sarah's multiple ailments must have really been making her unhappy. She woke up crying and didn't want her morning bottle. Eventually she fell asleep with her head on my belly. Woke up again, still in a miserable mood. The rest of the morning went back and forth between straight out crying and just quiet wimpering. Christmas Cookies
This year I made 6 difference kinds of Christmas cookies. That's up from 4 types last year. The peanut butter blossoms are my fave. The raspberry pointsettias are new this year and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I am most proud of the sponge cookies (aka anginettes) because that was Bob's grandmother's recipe and they are his favorite ( Read more... ) -

Haha.. it's been since October since I posted on my own journal. Bad me. But I am posting again! And I have a food post, which is probably a first for me. Check out the cupcakes I did for Easter. I am quite proud of them. :)

house
Bob and I are now officially homeowners! The closing on our house was today. I think I signed my name more times today than I have since I've had this name (a little over a year now). My dad and Julia watched Sarah while we were at the closing. That was the longest I'd been away from her, so of course I worried. I wonder if she knew I was gone ( Read more... ) -
A busy day
Ugh.. I am tired and so I am taking a break to sit here at the computer and rest for a bit. Let's see.. our house is coming along. We drove by on Sunday. The only (visible) new development is that the roof is shingled. I think they also poured the concrete in the garage. I can't remember if that was done last time.
