While I don't know if I'd call all cases of RPF immoral (the case you listed notwithstanding, that's both immoral and severely messed-up), I do think that it's incredibly disrespectful. It's basically someone saying, "I'm going to write something about you that never happened because it's funny, or I'll get off on it, or just because I want to." And while I normally wouldn't judge peoples' choices of entertainment, there's something simply wrong about writing made-up stories about real people that I can't quite put my finger on ( ... )

Not a problem. I figured I'd get the whole "How dare you impinge on the rights of people to write whatever the hell they want about whomever the hell the want" storm if I put this on ffrants. While I might agree with that in theory, I think that really changes once you post it online or otherwise outside of your personal purview. The internet is not your diary, people! ;p

The sad thing is... once upon a time, writing stuff like that would get you automatically slapped onto a "stalker" list. Heck, it probably still does and anyone who does write creepy RPF probably should spend a lot of time hoping nothing bad or remotely similar to their "fantasy" actually happens. =_=;;;
