So... hmm... what's been up...
Well, I have me a bread machine now and my arm and upper back muscles want to leap out and give it much hugs and squee because kneading bread by hand is a bitch. It is a wonderful device and now I can make fresh bread and pizza dough and other marvelous things. In fact, I've got a nummy loaf of fresh, homemade, garlic/cheese/oregano focaccia cooling on the counter at home and that's just lovely.
I've also finally gotten through watching all of season 5 of Ghost Hunters. I may be a dork, but I have to admit that watching all of them interact with each other and get scared by stuff (half of which can probably be easily explained with a little effort) is hilarious. On occasion they might catch stuff that my reaction is more like "huh" than "totally fake", but the main reason for watching is to see what goofy thing they stumble into next.
Lessee, what else... oh. Alarm clocks are a bitch. Especially when they're in the upstairs apartment and going off at 5:30 in the morning on a Saturday... and no one turns them off. And cause I got yelled at for my reaction to that (ringing the upstairs neighbor's doorbell and asking them to turn it off), that's all I'm gonna say about that.
Monday was an especially deep level of Hades this past week at work, so I'm hoping that tomorrow will be better. I do not ever want to deal with starting the day with a fatal accident closing the bridge out of Hastings for 4 hours, forgetting my badge at home so I can't get into my building without help, a group of 50 visitors complete with inept escorts who cannot grasp the concept of "visitors must be escorted at all times while in the buildings" and allow them to wander about freely, and computer/printer errors through out the day. I don't ever want that all to happen enmass again. Ever. @_@;;;
Oh, and btw, Building 235, where I work, is cursed. It's Rio's theory, but I'm becoming convinced. From the guy who says "hi!" to the chairs in the lobby when they are empty, to the other guy who likes to call me "Bob" for whatever reason, to the other guy chanting "Nate Nate Nate" in a monotone while walking down the halls, there is just too much crazy for one building. And I get to deal with it all. At least it's not completely boring!
Sims 2 is a bad thing for me to play. Seriously. I mean, it's kinda boring at the base level, but then you can fiddle with it and *bam* Renee Montoya and Kate Kane are running around arguing with each other. It's a bizarre form of crack. Probably the same levels as playing Creatures (awesome crack! GOG.com has it for sale too, which just about made my year when I found it. I loved that artifical life sim as a teen.) or Tropico, but what can I say? I'm a dork! ;p
Oh! Mantis tillers are amazing. Just amazing. I've got a little 2 cycle one and it just tore up the old raised beds and a bunch of ground that was packed down so hard grass wouldn't grow. It's great stuff. Plus, it's light enough that even Rio didn't have much trouble man-handling it about. Good times. :3
SPRING-CON!!! Spring-con is coming! Just next weekend... which is the same weekend that The Veer Union is coming back to The Rock in Maplewood on Thursday ($10 at the door ($8 in advance) does not at all seem bad for such an awesome band. Totally worth going after work.) so there is just so much happy coming up next week. I hope it lives up to it's promise.
Aaaaand... okay, that's enough bibble for one day. More some other day!
