There's always those repurcussions for your actions. What if they had a family? What if their friends want to kill you for revenge? It's all too much of a weight on one's shoulders.
Umm...for example the War of Austrian Succession. Even though we were fighting over land, all the warriors that lent their lives to the cause greatly affected our bodies.
